The management of our health has, in recent years, become a scary and confusing proposition. How do I find a doctor? How do I get a timely appointment with the doctor I have? Should I burden the emergency department with a problem that may…or may not be critical? What are the impacts of privatization? And, underlying all of this...who the heck is in charge anyway?
In this 5-week Learning Again in Almonte course, we will explore the Ontario Health System and all it’s layers and most importantly, your place within it to ensure your needs are met. Facilitated by Sherryl Smith, whose vast and varied experience in public health makes her eminently qualified to guide panel discussions, workshops and Q&As with interested parties and decision makers within our community.
Takes place November 4, 11, 18, 25 and December 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church.
